Hotel owners who are members of the “Consorzio Dolomiti Walking Hotel” are united by the strong passion for the mountain, enthusiasts of excursions and gentle walks.
The hotel becomes the starting point for walks and the place of rest and relaxation. Three excursions are organized each week, to be chosen according to your personal abilities; mountain library with maps of the excursions, nature guides, books on local culture; hire service of rucksacks, flasks and trekking sticks; transfer from/to station/airport at rates to be agreed.

With us you can simply:

- find proficient hotel staff ready to help and advise you on planning your excursions, trips and prepare all the return transfer services needed for you.

- participate, free of charge, (excluding mere transfer costs) in at least three weekly excursions of various levels and of maximum excursionist interest on the surrounding mountains, guided by qualified trekkers who are perfectly familiar with the territory.

- rent rucksacks, flasks, walking sticks and other specific equipment.

- meet people who love the mountain and want to share their passion with others in order to program other mutual excursions in addition to those offered.

- find exhaustive literature, pictures and maps, list of websites specialising in excursion itineraries and nature and geographic topics.

- enjoy a stay based on genuine food that offers and valorises typical dishes.

Some of the excursions offered:

Lake of Barco:
Situated in a charming valley, (1904m absl) at the bottom of the Barco valley. Walk of three hours to reach the lake. It receives the water that melts from the snow fields above and gives origin to a river that leaves the lake dwellings through an opening in the north-west bank. It is partly surrounded by a pine forest that reflects in the water, where you may often see char fish.

Refuge Denza:
The refuge sits 2298m absl at the foot of the moraine of the Presanella Glacier (Rhaetian Alps). Above the terrace on which the refuge rises there is a typical alpine lake, which is rather amazing when the sky is clear and the Glacier reflects its total beauty in the lake’s water.

Lakes of Strino:
The itinerary offers a ring track starting from Passo del Tonale: from here you reach the lakes of Strino, descending the southern slope, then down to Val Strino and back to the Passo Tonale, passing the ruins of the Saccarana fortress.

Case di Viso:
Along an almost flat asphalt road you can reach the charming village of Case di Viso with its characteristic stone houses.

Refuge Bozzi, along the paths of World War I:
Inaugurated in 1928 as a rather modest adaptation of a military building built in 1910 by military engineers, in the lonely valley of Albiolo, 2478m absl, as the garrison and watch point of the nearby boundary with Austrian Tyrol. The refuge commemorates Angelino Bozzi, an aspiring and silver medal officer who died in the nearby Torrione di Albiolo in 1915. Devastated during World War II and later abandoned, the refuge was brought back to life with some modest renovation work and was opened again in 1968. Major work took place in the 80’s and 90’s to extend the building and to make it the popular and comfortable Refuge that it is today.

Refuge Larcher al Cevedale:
The Refuge Cevedale Guido Larcher is situated in Alta Val Venezia. It is an ideal starting point for a walk to the lakes of Marmotte, Lagolungo and Careser of which if offers unbeatable views.
